I'm creating a small app that needs to store information parsed from text files in a Database structure. sportsbook The data will be presented to the user for editing, then it will be exported from the "temporary" database into our productions system. I've decided to use Embedded Firebird because of it's bet nfl supposed "ease of use", but being that I'm extremely new to Delphi and Interbase, I need a little help getting started. I'm not new to programming or databases in general, I'm just not familiar with Delphi or Firebird. I've sportsbook searched the web and can't find any good "tutorial" for setting up an embedded Firebird database. http://www.enterbet.com I need to know everything from how to include the .dll in my Delphi app, to connecting it to IBase components (IBDatabase), etc. I need as close to a step by step tutorial as is available. Hopefully somebody out there will have the patience to work with me on this.
