Delphi2005 is faster.

Compared to what version? I've been using Delphi 5 for years for a few reasons:
1) EXE size. AFAIK all versions caused significant increases.
2) Features. Almost all of the new features were of little or no interest to my use (http://www.stgsys.com). It would probably be a little more exciting if I was still in consulting, though.
3) Price. The upgrade to D6 was about 2,5x what I paid for the D4-D5 upgrade.
However, I keep hearing nice things about Delphi 2005...

Delphi 7 has smaller exe's... Than Delphi 6 ;) but not than Delphi 5...
